G.O.M. History

God planted the seed for a church while on Grand Forks AFB.

On September 1976, Elder Cole took over "The Gospel Hour" Bible study and in a vision, God spoke the name of the church that was soon to become, Gospel Outreach Ministries.

September of 1982, Elder Cole gave up 10 years in the Air Force to begin a full-time ministry as Pastor and Evangelist to the State of North Dakota. In 1986, the church moved to the Grand Forks Civic Auditorium; and in July of 1987, the church moved to its own building located at 123 N 3rd St., Grand Forks, ND.

In November, Elder Cole was informed of his appointment as the Jurisdictional Bishop for the State of North Dakota at the National Convocation in Memphis, TN. Two years later, the church was established at 321 Belmont Road, Grand Forks, ND.

Bishop Cole continues to travel all over the world, moving in the Holy Spirit. God continues to use the Church of God in Christ in North Dakota and the United States Air Force, saving, preparing, and sending many to the nations of the world and is yet fulfilling the vision of the church in this great State – WORLD EVANGELISM.

We, the Gospel Outreach family, truly believe:

Much PRAYER, Much POWER!!!
Little PRAYER, Little POWER!!

G.O.M. Mission

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ Ephesians 4:12 (KJV)

The mission of Gospel Outreach is found in Ephesians 4:12. We seek to:

G.O.M. Vision

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost Matthew 28:19 (KJV)

We are a soul-winning church. God gave us the great commission in Matthew 28:19 to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.

This will be achieved in three phases:

1. Receive Souls

2. Prepare Souls

3. Send Them
